Day 2
Beijing (B/L)
You will start with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the location where Mao Zedong proclaimed the founding of the People's Republic of China from the balcony of the Rostrum on October 1, 1949. Then, visit the magnificent Forbidden City, home to 24 emperors. Historically strictly off-limits to ordinary people (hence the name), the gates today will lead to a fascinating display of Chinese history in what is probably the best-preserved site of classical Chinese architecture.
Chinese lunch at local restaurant
After lunch, see the exquisite Summer Palace with a boat ride on its Lake Kunming (weather permitting). Artisans reproduced the garden architecture styles of various palaces in China.

Day 3
Beijing (B/L/D)
Today climb the awesome Great Wall of China (UNESCO World Heritage site). It is a symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and a world-renowned fortification. Stretching 6,350 kilometers on the mountains in Northern China. Badaling Great Wall scenic area is world-famous for its magnificent scenery, excellent facilities, deep cultural and historical connotations. Visit Beijing Jade Carving Factory followed by lunch at its restaurant.
Afternoon, stroll along the Sacred Way between statues of warriors and animals to the Ming Tombs, visit the most famous emperors mausoleum of Ming Dynasty with 500 years history—Chang Ling.

Day 4
Beijing/Xian (B/L)
Morning visit the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for a good harvest and made offerings of grain, silk and animals. Constructed during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the harmonious proportions and bold colors of the Temple of Heaven make it a masterpiece of Chinese architecture. Then, visit the Lama Temple, considered as the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present day China.

Transfer to airport for flight flying to Xian.

Day 5
Xian (B/L)
Visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, created to guard the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor to unite China. One of the most remarkable archaeological discoveries of all time, the Terra Cotta Army is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will leisurely admire this vast array of soldiers and their terra cotta horses, currently being unearthed in stretches of land the size of football fields!

Chinese lunch at local restaurant including the Noodle-making Demonstration
Afternoon visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda - regarded by many as a symbol of the city, the pagoda was built in 652 A.D in Tang Dynasty to house the sutras brought back from India by the famous monk Xuan-zang. And walk along the ancient City Wall of Xi’an

Day 6
Xian/Guilin (B)
Transfer to airport for flight flying to Guilin
Arrive Guilin, transfer to your hotel.
Afternoon visit Reed Flute Caves, known as “the Palace of Natural Arts”, its remarkable features impress domestic and foreign visitors alike. Inside this water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition. Illuminated by colored lighting, the fantastic spectacle is found in many variations. Then visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, also called the elephant hill, lies on the conjunction of the Li River and the peach blossom river. It is the badge of Guilin city. The whole hill looks exactly like a huge elephant stretching its trunk drinking water of the Li River. It is the masterpiece of karst landscape, composed of pure limestone deposited on seabed 360million years ago

Day 7
Guilin/Yangshuo/Guilin (B/L)
Delight in a cruise along the lovely Li River with lunch on board. The Haunting beauty of Guilin’s mist-wrapped monolithic peaks surrounds the river en route to the market town of Yangshuo. Disembark in Yangshuo, strong along the West Street, the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. It now becomes a place that mixes the eastern and western culture harmoniously. And then explore the rural life to the local villages and local farmer’s house!
Late afternoon transfer back to Guilin.

Guilin/Shanghai (B)

Day 9
Shanghai (B/D)
Morning visit the People’s Park, it is a park with comprehensive leisure functions. Visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Museum, you can see a lot of graphic materials and architectural models, as well as a panoramic model of the urban area, allowing you to have a comprehensive understanding of the past, present and future of Shanghai's urban construction and development. Then visit the 400 year’s old Yu Garden and Old Town, Yu Garden was finished in 1577 by a government officer of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) named Pan Yunduan. Yu Garden is small in size, but it contains all elements that a classical Chinese garden should have. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics. On the periphery of Yu Garden, there is the Old Town, where visitors can buy all kinds of souvenirs like foods, craftworks, and jewels.

Afternoon, spend time at the Bund/Waterfront where grand old buildings face post-modern monuments. Continue to the Shanghai Museum, where you can use handheld information set to enjoy this thoughtfully curated distinguished art collection at your own pace.
